I took Riley to school this morning and dropped him off. In order to get him there and me to work on time, I have to get out the door 45 minutes to 1 hour before work begins. That takes some planning. When they lived with me last winter, I would have to be about 40 minutes out the door before I started work. There was very little "wiggle" room because they started later and this new preschool they are attending starts earlier. That is one nice thing about the new situation. We worked on our community event on August 1st, I worked also on the next two summer fairs that we will be at next week. How are we going to be at two events you ask? Well, it is a little tricky. Next Friday I will have to load the van and we will set up one booth at one fair, then go back to the college to load the van a second time to go and set up a booth at another fair. Lindsey and I will stay the first shift at that fair... then we drive to the college to drop off the van and get our cars. She will work one fair the next day while I work at the other. Phillip will help me at my fair and Srey will help Lindsey at the other. We will also have other people helping out all weekend too. On Sunday, it will be in reverse... we work a fair and tear it down and take all of the supplies back to the college. Then, we go to the other fair and tear it down to bring its supplies back to the college. It is over 8 hours of work to get all of that done. I will not be able to go to church that day. Today I sent out all the information etc to all the volunteers making sure that they had the information in advance because next week Lindsey and I are at a conference Monday and Tuesday.
Yes, it is a conference in Vancouver, WA. It is for all the 2 year representatives like us to get together to share ideas. We should be able to come home with some great ideas... or we will find out that we are doing far more than the other colleges are doing. We will see. I will be able to post from my cell phone but I won't be able to put up any pictures until I get home.

After work Kari and I made chicken enchiladas. We will use the chicken from one of the rotisserie chickens from Costco which Dave will buy from time to time to make the enchiladas. It is something I have been making all my life since I come from So. California. Kari loves them and it makes her happy to have food I made when she was little.
Speaking of Kari, we are celebrating this weekend. If anyone has been reading my posts for very long they would would have discovered that my 27 daughter began recovery off of drugs one year ago tomorrow. We will be celebrating her first year of her new life without drugs. There is so much to recovery and she is so much better than she was a year ago. I have watched the transition all year long. She is thinking that she may become a drug and alcohol counselor. I am so very proud of her.Well, better close for now. Have a good weekend!
