Another long day today... I still didn't get much sleep. Made it to work... then later took some time off so I could rest. After resting, I decided to go to the store and buy some food. So I printed off some of the recipes from Denise's post today and took them with me for inspiration. I came back and baked some BBQ Chicken for dinner. It was very good.
Riley went to the doctor's today. Yes, they think that he will have to have his tonsil's out sometime soon, but it isn't an emergency. His tonsils are almost touching because of his illness so they are enlarged and will have to come out. We will probably have this done this summer so that he will not have to miss any kindergarten. Other than that, he still is on the mend. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Dave met his brother for dinner tonight. I joked with him about how Steve (his brother) only lives a few miles from us and yet they met in North Carolina to have dinner. It must have felt surreal. I told him that he should go out to dinner more often here and not put it off just because he lives so close. I saw on Tania's post the You Tube video to Trace Adkin's "You're Gotta Miss This" and it is such an appropriate song for so many times in our lives when we might take things for granted. I believe because of the passing of my grandmother Nellie, my sister Krista, and my dad, Robert, that I have come to realize important memories are in our lives. Memories are created in the NOW for later. One must realize, like the weather, situations and times will change even if it seems like it is going to be the same forever. It will not. I put the video at the bottom of my blog for anyone that would like to view it.
One of my favorite Christian comedians is Anita Renfroe. She will be at the Overlake Christian Church next Saturday. I have been hoping to go to her performance but not sure yet. Her video on her "Mom Song" is also below on this page if you haven't found it yet. I really relate to it... as any mom would. It lifts my spirits sometimes when I am dealing with "kids". We are not alone girls. Please check it out too if you would like a laugh.
By the way... since I was goofing around to show you my new glasses that I will be sporting... here we are together... still goofing around. Not the best of photos of me because I decided to do this when I was the only one at home with a cold. Plus, I felt silly holding up the phone camera and snapping a photo of myself... "I am 52 years old", I thought to myself, but then I also thought after that thought "I don't ever act my age and maybe this would be a good time to give it a try". Well, of course, the answer is noooooo way. Why start now? How else would I show you guys? So after all this fuss, what do you think? I know nothing about what the trends are in glasses except they are skinny and the girl in the office thought these would be great. At least I can see again!

Smile... and Have a good day!

Oooh I love your glasses, they look very cute on you. I could do with a new pair myself but just never get round to it. I wear contacts during the day but put my glasses on at the end of the day when my eyes start getting dry.
Have a lovely day.
Hugs
Denise
Hi Dana, I have heard of Anita Renfroe at last years WOF at the Arrowhood POND or the Honda center as it is now called. So how long will you be in OC when you come out? I am looking forward to meeting.
