Denise mentioned in her post yesterday that September brought for her a new start, much like New Years does. I agree with her that September fills the air of getting back to school and business. I begun to think about why that was... I still have have that feeling, even after Kari had graduated from high school. College students at my school don't start until the end of September, but I get this feeling long before then as if I had a child in the house (which I will this year). I came to the idea that we also get a little "start" when school ends for the summer and we change our routines. So I concluded that our "starts" come when we end one routine or frame of mind (school year, summer, the holidays) and shift to another. I was trying to think if there is a time during the spring that we make a "shift" or a new start. I didn't come up with anything... from New Years to the end of school in June... it is rather a straight course of discipline. No wonder we are ready for a change in June. My question to you is do you have other times during the year or changes that bring on that feeling of a "new start"? Do you find it refreshing?Have a great day!

Good Morning on this Wednesday, (Hump Day) I think the "new start" is also in June,when the traffic is not so terrific. We have two elementary schools and a big Catholic boy's school just around the corner. I am all for education, but amen during the Summer when I can turn the corner. Have a great day. I think you're right when it comes to Spring, I can't really say I feel the same then that I do in January and Sept. I know the feeling comes from something 'ending. In September (or end of August, cos school seems to start back earlier each year) it signifies the end of Summer and I'm ready to make a start on a new daily schedule after having 3 months off with Kristen :-) In January, of course the holidays have just ended and it's the start of a new year, and again a new daily routine after nearly two weeks off school.
I think those are the only two times I have this feeling.
