More On Tulips

Rows of Tulips in Skagit Valley. The color is so bright that it hurts a person's eyes.
Riley finds a tulip that is another color than the thousands in that tulip patch.
He thinks it is out of place and needs to be put with the red tulips. I think he thinks it will miss his family. I think it is the one the shines the brightest with the others as it's back drop.

People visiting and enjoying the sun and tulips.

The boys and me. Riley is so interested in looking at everything at the moment rather than having his picture taken :-)

The next field is orange and behind me is red. Beyond the red are the pinks and purples.
I was able to buy purple tulips for my vase at home for $4.50 a dozen.

Riley and Brady having a great time now that they aren't wondering what the fuss is all about.

Dave and the boys between the rows.
This is community was established by dutch folks that came to the USA. Look at the beauty they brought with them for us to enjoy! The farms not only sell the flowers but the bulbs that are multiplied after a blooming are sold all over. Dave has been to Holland and he says that Mt Vernon looks a lot like Holland. But I am sure it is a small version.
Have a Great Sunday!

WOw, I've never seen so many tulips all in one field - except for pics of Holland that is!
Hope you're having a lovely Sunday.

Danna,

What beautiful pictures of the tulips! I cannot even imagine seeing them in person. Breathtaking! Glad you & the boys got to experience it.

So sad about Norma. That broke my heart. What a 'Bible-thumper' - involved with another woman's husband! Hope she knows what she's getting - a man that would not only do that (adultery), but beat his wife?!? How sad.

Hope you have a blessed week! Hugs!

Hi Danna, the tulips are beautiful! The weather is in the high 90's and will last until Tues and then go back to normal. Email me at susan4jesus@sbcglobal.net so we can make arranagements to meet.

Hi Danna! The tulip fields are spectacular! I love the way they are row after row of each color. Must look like a giant rainbow from above! I think it's going to be really nice weather for your visit. Today is the last really hot day- 90's- but it should be nice and in the 80's by the weekend. Enjoy the week ahead! (((Hugz)))
