Getting Ready to Go

As sunny as it was on Saturday, we are back to rain again. This morning it was raining really hard. So hard that I had to use an umbrella to walk into the college. During the fall and winter I pay to park in the employee parking lot but in the spring and summer I park further away just to get the extra walk in. It isn't that far of a walk but it is when it is raining. Which, of course, is often in Seattle.
I spent most of the day doing thing projects on the computer so I never went out again in to the rain until it was time to leave. Then I ran into a really friendly squirrel that thought that I should feed him. He came bouncing up on his four legs ready for me to throw him something to eat. But I didn't have anything and I get afraid that he will go running up my leg. I tell myself to remember to get the squirrel food out and carry some in my purse.

After work I went to Walmart to get Riley a little booster seat without a back to it so that I can take it on the plane. He can sit on it on the plane and then when we get to California. I also got him some little sandals. I got out his summer clothes and went through them. After I heard it was 103 degrees in Santa Ana yesterday, I thought I better prepare. This morning I began to pack. I had to dig out my summer things too. It is still hard to imagine that I would be wearing any summer clothing soon but I would be convinced very quickly in heat.
