Happy Birthday Mom

Happy 75th Birthday Mom!
Hope you have a great day... You should be getting something in the mail...
happy reading.

Well, Nothing... We Got Nothing... We got up this morning and we didn't get 3 inches, or 2 inches, or 1 inch, or any snow what so ever. Yesterday was far worse than today. In fact we are warming up the 40s (can't believe I said that). So some are saying they will never believe the weatherman again.

Riley has been complaining of a headache and says that his ears hurt. His teachers said that he didn't eat and drank a lot of water yesterday. He kept saying he felt sick. Last night he ran a little fever and but it got worse and I was trying to cool him down with cool clothes and alcohol rubs. Hmmmm Another challenge. When a kid says they have pain in their ears to me; they go to the doctor. I don't mess around. So today he had an appointment at 1:50 pm. I was hoping that Kari could take him to the doctor but she is now sick too. (Oh great, so what is the bug if they both have it?)

On the way into the clinic, it was snowing... I was not impressed because of the hype we have been going through with the weather "people" on TV so we forged on feeling that it would be all gone by the time we got out of the office. And it was. The doctor said it was a virus that has been going around with the kiddos and that the fever will last for a few days. So Riley is in bed watching videos that I rented at Hollywood Video, drinking lots of water etc, and resting. Now if I could get Kari to do the same.

Brady seems to be doing fine, so I took him to preschool. It is best if he stays away from Riley as much as possible anyway. Riley also needs his rest which Brady wouldn't give him. So it is divide and conquer.

OK, so now I am trying to decide how to manage tomorrow. It is an unknown if Kari is going to be feeling well, or if Riley is going to be feeling well, or what is going to take place... so I am planning on how not to be caught off guard with everything if people aren't well.

Have a great evening... Hugs to all of you. I will probably be falling asleep on:

Hi Danna! Hope everyone starts feeling better soon. Tis the time of year, I guess. Seeing the Orcas Island photo reminds me that we have friends who run a bed & breakfast there. They were actors (in commercials) and took their $ and bought a B&B. (((Hugz)))
