We Will Never Forget

September 11th
I know that all of us remember where we were and what we were doing on this day 7 years ago. Just like we remember when the Challenger blew up and John F Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, and Martin Luther King was killed. Everyone reacted differently that day. Dave became very depressed. I was "Annie Get Your Gun"... angry.
In fact, he became so depressed he broke up with me for a week on September 15th. However, September 15 ironically was the day we got our marriage license in 2005. For some reason I notice things like that... even though I have a hard time finding my keys, glasses, and cellphone.
Anyway, September 11 we will never forget. I hope to hear how those that survived are doing years later.

Good Morning, I will never forget. David called us to turn on the television, It was unbelievable! Bless all the families. Last night we went to Los Angeles for a hot dip sandwich at Phillipes. While we were in line someone tapped me on the shoulder, I looked around and there was Uncle Guy. It was just amazing. To drive all that way to Los Angeles, and there he was. Both from Downey.LOL Love MOM

Hi Danna! Well, a lot of our blog friends will not remember JFK, RFK and MLK! ;) I sure do, though. I was in Jr High (Marina del Rey) when JFK was shot and my male history teacher broke down and cried and that really scared me. A month after 9-11, Pleasant Hawaiian Holidays offered the LAFD free trips to Maui because no one wanted to fly. The LAFD refused the free offer and we paid a small amount- I think it was $500.00- and it was donated to firemen's widows and children. (((Hugz)))

Hi Danna, I will never forget that day. I still get chills when I think about it. My husband called me & said "Turn on the tv - NOW!" I said "What happened???" He said "Just turn it on! I have to go." I sat there & cried - I cried for days, & I too was so angry. It still makes me angry, & it really angers me that so many have forgotten just what these terrorist are capable of. 9/11 is my son's birthday, & he so hates that this day is tainted with that memory. Hugs
