Brittany (left) and FriendMy sister, Krista, died from a car accident in 1992. Brittany is her daughter, and my niece. She was 18 months old when Krista died. At the end of this month, Brittany graduates from high school. Their class went to their prom last Saturday night at the Long Beach Hyatt. Here are some of the pictures of her classmates and their dates. As you can imagine, it was hard to fit them all into a picture and avoid the sun behind the bus they left on among so many moms and dads taking pictures.

This was about all I saw of Brittany on this trip but that is OK. There will be other times. I am just glad that I was able to be a small part of her graduation. I gave her a card with a necklace and bracelet which I hope she might wear on her graduation day. She had a great time and slept most of Sunday since she got home about 4 am. Ahhhhh, to be young.
